Run for the Books invites you to be part of our grassroots work of providing books to children who are faced with the daily tolls of living with cancer. In the United States, approximately 12,400 children under age 19 are newly diagnosed with cancer each year. That is roughly the equivalent of two average size classrooms (35-46 kids) diagnosed each school day.

Books can offer a haven of comfort and help children learn to deal with unknown fears and misunderstandings associated with cancer treatment. With your support, children will receive age appropriate books with messages of encouragement and optimism. The children will also have an opportunity to select new and classic books that will allow them to journey into the spectacular world of stories.

Whether you are a veteran runner or a first time runner, you can take strides towards supporting a child by collecting donations in support of your run or walk. For more information on how you can support our work, please email us at info@oneforthebooks.org.

We are confident that with a joint effort, we can continue to improve lives, one book, one child, one community at a time.
